JJ & Ozzie | From a Beach Pier Ceremony to an Unforgettable Party in North Cyprus
Some weddings are elegant.
Some are emotional.
And then there are weddings like JJ & Ozzie’s—the kind that never stop smiling.
Bringing together two cultures, two families and two countries, their wedding in North Cyprus was filled with energy from the very first moments of the morning until the final song long after sunset. JJ travelled from England to marry Ozzie, a Turkish Cypriot, creating a celebration that perfectly blended British charm with warm Cypriot hospitality.
It wasn’t simply a wedding.
It felt like one unforgettable Mediterranean celebration.
The Morning Began at Acapulco Resort
The day started at the beautiful Acapulco Resort Hotel on the coastline of Kyrenia, where JJ prepared for one of the biggest days of her life.
Sunlight poured through the windows as hair, make-up and finishing touches transformed excitement into anticipation. Outside, the Mediterranean was calm. Inside, bridesmaids laughed, champagne glasses were raised and every room buzzed with the kind of excitement that only exists on a wedding morning.
These are the quiet moments many guests never see, yet they often become some of the most meaningful memories captured throughout the day.
Saying “I Do” Above the Mediterranean
The ceremony took place on the spectacular Korineum Beach Pier in Esentepe.
Stretching out over the crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea, the wooden pier created an unforgettable setting where the horizon became the backdrop for every vow, every smile and every happy tear.
As JJ walked towards Ozzie, surrounded by endless blue water and warm Mediterranean sunshine, the atmosphere felt both intimate and cinematic. There were no distractions—only family, close friends and the sound of gentle waves beneath the pier.
For couples dreaming of a beach wedding in North Cyprus, few locations offer such a unique combination of sea, light and natural beauty.
Golden Hour at Korineum Golf Club
As the afternoon turned into evening, the celebrations moved to the breathtaking Korineum Golf & Beach Resort.
With the dramatic Five Finger Mountains behind them and perfectly maintained fairways stretching towards the sea, guests enjoyed an elegant reception before the party truly began.
Just before sunset, we slipped away with JJ and Ozzie for a few quiet moments together.
The golden Mediterranean light transformed the golf course into an incredible natural backdrop. Rather than directing every movement, we encouraged them simply to enjoy being together.
Those few relaxed minutes produced photographs that felt honest, effortless and unmistakably theirs.
A Wedding That Felt Like One Big Celebration
Some receptions begin quietly before building throughout the evening.
This one exploded with energy from the very first dance.
The dance floor never stayed empty.
British guests mixed effortlessly with Turkish Cypriot family and friends. Music crossed cultures, conversations turned into dancing and every table quickly became part of the celebration.
Laughter echoed across the venue, speeches were filled with humour, and by the end of the evening it was impossible to tell who had only met that day.
It was exactly the kind of wedding people still talk about years later.
Capturing Every Angle – Photography, Film & Photo Booth
Every couple experiences their wedding differently, which is why we believe every memory deserves to be preserved in more than one way.
Throughout JJ and Ozzie’s wedding day, we documented the celebration through professional wedding photography, cinematic wedding filmmaking, and drone cinematography, capturing everything from the sweeping Mediterranean coastline to the smallest emotional moments shared between family members.
As night fell, our Photo Booth became another highlight of the celebration.
Guests queued throughout the evening, filling the gallery with spontaneous laughter, funny poses and unforgettable group photographs. While the wedding film tells the story and the photographs preserve the emotion, the Photo Booth captured the personality of everyone who came to celebrate.
Together, they created a complete record of a wedding that was as joyful as it was beautiful.
A Destination Wedding That Brought Two Worlds Together
Destination weddings are about far more than travelling to a beautiful place.
They bring together people who might never otherwise meet, creating memories that last far beyond the wedding day itself.
JJ and Ozzie’s celebration perfectly reflected everything we love about weddings in North Cyprus—spectacular scenery, genuine hospitality, incredible venues and an atmosphere where everyone feels like family before the night is over.
From the peaceful morning at Acapulco Resort to exchanging vows above the Mediterranean Sea and dancing beneath the stars at Korineum Golf Club, every chapter of their day became part of a story worth remembering.
Because the best weddings are never measured by how perfectly they were planned.
They are remembered by how they made everyone feel.
Korineum Golf & Country Club has been the Med’s natural golf paradise since the Grand Opening in April 2007. Set acres of beautiful Esentepe Valley countryside, it came as no surprise that JJ and Ozie had found their picture perfect venue in Korineum golf club for their wonderland wedding. North Cyprus Photography providing a bespoke photography package for the newlyweds, their day was destined to be a truly wonderful occasion.
Bellapais Abbey , Kyrenia;
The tranquil and beautiful village of Bellapais stands in the Kyrenia mountain range, some four miles from North Cyprus‘ coast. With breathtaking views, tiny streets and ancient buildings around every corner, the village has changed little since it was immortalized by Lawrence Durrell in the 1950s. The author’s “Bitter Lemons of Cyprus” chronicles his time in Cyprus and his adventures buying a home in Bellapais, close to Bellapais Abbey. Whilst the abbey is certainly a ‘must see’ for visitors to Bellapais, there is much more here, including ancient crusader paths that criss-cross the mountain – not to mention an excellent selection of restaurants and taverns!
The main feature of Bellapais village is undoubtedly its wonderful abbey, though the small coffee shops and restaurants nearby come a close second! Still in use today for classical music concerts and exhibitions, most life in the village revolves around this famous monument. But once you have spent a couple of hours taking in the fine abbey and the breath-taking views, or followed in the footsteps of Richard the Lionheart along one of the many crusader roads, you can rest and soak up the ambiance and relaxed atmosphere for which Northern Cyprus is equally famous.
